    great cooked breakfast
    cute hosts
    tight parking

We enjoyed a great cooked breakfast that fueled our adventure along the South West Coast Path. The hosts were cute and provided helpful tips for activities like kayaking and rock climbing nearby. Highly recommend trying the dinner at The Ship Inn, just a short stroll away.

The only downside was the tight parking, making it a bit tricky to maneuver larger vehicles.

    comfy bed
    great breakfast
    parking tight

Comfy bed with high-quality bedding. A great breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and roasted coffee.

Room contained two beds pushed together, and the parking situation could be a bit tight depending on your vehicle size.

    warm welcome
    comfy room
    very nice breakfast
    missing music

Chris and clare welcomed me warmly, and the room was so comfy and clean. The breakfast was very nice, and i appreciated the little touches like the tea and snacks.

could have used soft background music.

    bed complaints
    quiet atmosphere

The bed was enormous, yet, the two beds pushed together felt so cheap and unrefined. The breakfast room was lovely, but, oh, how I wished for some soft music, it was just too quiet to savor! And I expected a little extra treat upon arrival, but, I guess they don't excel in that department either.

    charming, charming, charming

The structure is a good thatched cottage, exuding character and history. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, with locally sourced ingredients that tasted divine! My room was immaculate, complete with a generous tray of teas, coffee, and snacks.

    Perfect cozy getaway!

Chris and Claire were super cute, and our room was so comfy, stocked with snacks and cozy drinks. Breakfast was delish with a cool menu to choose from. Just a bit of a tight squeeze in the parking lot, but overall, a lovely stay!

Just a strong match for a weekend in Porlock with best value for money ratio. Enjoyed the fluffy towels after a long day. It's worth checking out the nearby shops for snacks before heading out.

pleasant stay but parking can be tricky

The atmosphere felt warm and homely. The hosts were genuinely cute. Breakfast was a highlight with a good variety of choices that catered to different tastes.

Parking is a bit tight, especially for larger vehicles.

Everything met what was needed; I would love to return. For a 4-star hotel, everything was great. - Had a well-maintained room with a large inglenook fireplace for a quiet, comfortable stay. - the location was amazing and incredible in the lovely Porlock area.

Conveniently located right next to a lovely garden, a local pub called the Ship, and a cool spot known as Porlock Weir 😊. Plus, it's super easy to get to Dovery Manor Museum from here.
